How to combat Alzheimer’s/Dementia on all fronts.

Take the rigth actions
As dementia and Alzheimer’s along with several other similar mental debilitating disease have impacted millions of families, including my own, aside from heartwarming, this story offers great hope in the advancement of treatment. This story, originally posted at Collective Evoloution, details how Sylvia Hatzer was well into the latter stages of what appeared to be Alzheimer’s and miraculously, over time, with the help and guidance of her son was able to reverse the cognitive affects primarily through a tailored diet.
Alanna Ketle, author, details how the mother and son duo researched and found that the Mediterranean region has the lowest cases of cognitive debilitating diseases in the world that has been attributed to diet. Intake based on blueberries, walnuts, broccoli, kale, spinach, sunflower seeds, green tea, oats, sweet potatoes, and dark chocolate, all common in the Mediterranean diet, proved to be the difference in improving Sylvia’s health.
Many bodies of work and research have suggested that our current, what some believe epidemic, rate of cognitive disease in our senior community is a result of several possible factors including deodorant, diet, exposure to metals and/or the accumulation of all of these in our modern age. Along with this research, just as important, a growth in strategy and treatment to combat these diseases gives many hope Alzheimer’s/dementia and the like will be cured. Along with the hardship that families must endure, many services, such as in-home care and insurance, are far more expensive and/or eliminated for individuals who have been diagnosed with these ailments. Moreover, just as important as doing what a family can do to help combat, slow or stop the development of these disabilities, is also to take the necessary steps to protect themselves financially.
As the average cost of a funeral in the US is $10,000 many families are not prepared for these costs and find it difficult to find affordable or if any life insurance coverage possible for their mentally disabled diagnosed loved one. As these diseases worsen over time and can take several years to officially be diagnosed, it is highly advisable that families not wait in obtaining life insurance for these loved ones. Term life typically is far more stringent on health and age requirements, but commonly unknow, whole-life life insurance policies are very lenient in health assessments towards mental disabilities and unless someone is officially diagnosed and/or medicated for these mental diseases can still be eligible for normal whole-life life insurance. That being said, along with immediate actions taken towards combating mental disabilities, taking the right immediate financial actions, just in case, can be pivitol in avoiding a significant financial hardship.
